Welcome to TerraVenture
TerraVenture is the world’s first fully off-grid, zero-waste eco-research and convention centre. Powered entirely by 100% renewable energy sources—including a cutting-edge 2.335 MWp solar photovoltaic system, battery energy storage, biogas from organic waste, and advanced rainwater harvesting systems—TerraVenture sets the benchmark for sustainable development.
Situated in South Yorkshire, TerraVenture serves as a pioneering hub for green innovation and collaboration. It combines eco-conscious businesses, advanced vertical farming systems, and renewable energy production in one groundbreaking facility. Our goal is to empower communities, promote sustainable technologies, and inspire the next generation of eco-friendly practices.
What We Do
At TerraVenture, we focus on several key areas that contribute to a sustainable future:
Energy Generation
Our facility is 100% powered by renewable energy, including a 2.335 MW solar photovoltaic system with battery storage, and biogas energy produced from organic waste.
Sustainable Materials
We use eco-friendly materials such as Green Steel, Earth Friendly Concrete, and algae bio-cladding to significantly reduce our carbon footprint.
Vertical Farming
Our vertical farming system utilises aeroponic towers and innovative IoT monitoring to produce fresh, local, and sustainable food while contributing to carbon sequestration efforts.
Wildlife and Ecology
TerraVenture prioritises biodiversity through tree planting, habitat creation, and using native species to encourage local wildlife and create a thriving ecosystem.
Zero-Waste Approach
We operate on a closed-loop system where all organic waste is converted into biogas and fertiliser, ensuring that no waste is sent to landfills.
Economic Growth
TerraVenture is projected to create over 730 jobs, supporting local businesses and promoting economic growth in South Yorkshire, while contributing to the green economy.

Technologies We Will Use to Achieve Off-Grid Status
We employ a variety of cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices to operate fully off-grid, from construction materials to energy generation, farming, and waste management.
- Solar Power: A 2.335 MW solar photovoltaic system with battery storage powers all of TerraVenture's operations.
- Biogas Production: Converts organic waste from food, human waste, and agricultural processes into energy, reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
- Rainwater Harvesting: Collects and filters rainwater for all non-potable uses, significantly reducing water waste.
- Wastewater Treatment: Converts wastewater into reusable products, like fertiliser and water for irrigation, supporting our closed-loop system.
- In-house ISP Hosting: A locally managed internet infrastructure that supports our off-grid and data-heavy operations.
- Green Steel: Steel produced using renewable energy, which reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 80%, making the construction of our facilities far more sustainable.
- Earth Friendly Concrete (EFC): Cement-free concrete that reduces the carbon footprint of construction by up to 80-90% compared to traditional concrete.
- Bio-Cladding: Algae-based cladding that captures CO₂ and can be harvested for bioplastics and biofuel, creating a dynamic carbon sequestration mechanism.
- Native Trees & Green Spaces: We plant native trees across the site, contributing to biodiversity and CO₂ capture, while also providing a space for local flora and fauna to thrive.
- Vertical Farming: TerraVenture houses 350 aeroponic systems to grow crops using significantly less water and land than traditional farming. This system also supports research into climate-resilient crops and urban agriculture.
- Native Fruiting Trees: These trees enhance the landscape while contributing to food production, biodiversity, and educational demonstrations on permaculture techniques.
- Bioplastics Research: Through our algae bio-cladding, we aim to develop bioplastics as sustainable alternatives to traditional plastics, reducing environmental harm from plastic waste.
- Comprehensive Recycling Systems: We recycle metals, plastics, glass, cardboard, and wood on-site, diverting waste from landfills and reducing the carbon footprint of waste disposal.
- Organic Waste Conversion: Organic waste from the facility and nearby sources is turned into biogas and fertiliser, closing the loop on waste and energy production.
- CO₂ Capture & Conversion: Our waste-to-energy processes capture CO₂ that would otherwise be emitted, reducing the facility's overall environmental impact.

Join the Creators Trust
TerraVenture is proud to offer creators the opportunity to become part of our groundbreaking eco-project through the Creators Trust. By collaborating with us, you will not only contribute to sustainable innovation but also gain financial rewards and recognition within an exclusive community of influencers and creators.
How It Works
Creators who collaborate with TerraVenture will become shareholders in the Creators Trust, where 5% of the profits from Velocity Wave will be allocated. This trust will reward creators based on their contribution to the project, with each share reflecting their level of involvement.
Once the trust reaches five members, those members will be able to vote on changes to make the trust better!.
No Risk, Only Rewards
There is no cost to join the Creators Trust, and creators are free to leave at any time. If a creator chooses to leave, their share will be calculated based on their contributions that year. Once the payment period passes, they will no longer receive future shares, but there are no penalties or ongoing obligations for leaving the trust.
Contribute in Your Own Way
Creators can contribute to TerraVenture in multiple ways, including producing video content, writing blogs, offering on-site advice, or engaging their audience through social media. Each contribution is valued based on time, difficulty, and the impact it has on the project and its growth.
The collective of creators within the trust can set and approve new targets to ensure everyone works toward common goals while maximising the trust's value.
Creators Vote for Growth
When the trust reaches five members, those creators gain the ability to vote on whether to allow additional creators to join. However, if engagement targets are not met, the trust must open to new creators to ensure the project continues to grow and thrive.
Creators can participate in decision-making that drives the success of TerraVenture while benefiting from the growth they help generate.
Ready to Join the Creators Trust?
This is your opportunity to shape the future of sustainability, contribute in meaningful ways, and benefit financially. Join us in our mission to make eco-technology accessible for everyone through research and real-world data.
